Our pilot project to help Lithuanian musicians improve their metadata and increase revenue has begun!
The music industry is run by algorithms fed by data, but independent musicians can’t afford to hire data scientists, so we’re building tools that will be open to everybody.
We are starting by collecting information about Lithuanian artists and their releases to create a new database according to the latest international standards.
Our partners Reprex will be analysing and connecting the data to help increase the visibility of Lithuanian music on the internet.
We are having an infosession in Vilnius to introduce the project and help artists to sign up and contribute their data. Check out the event on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/6521500004535612/
We will also be filming the presentation and signing up artists online after the event. And of course, the results of our research will be posted on our website.
To sign up to the project just join our newsletter and we will send you all the information you need.
You can read more about the project on the official website here: https://lithuania.listen-local.net/
